Angelica Panganiban, a Filipino American actress and model who is also a TV hostess and comedian. Panganiban was dubbed as the queen of Drama by different media. Angelica Hale became very sick in 2012, at the time she was just 4 years old old. She was diagnosed with double pneumonia that was caused by a severe strep-pneumococcal bacteria infection. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston placed her on ECMO care for life-saving treatment. Her organs failed in multiple ways as well as kidney failure, which were not able to recover. It was her new normal to have hemodialyses and peritoneal-dialysis. After an 80-day hospital stay Angelica nearly died but was on the road of recovery. Angelica was on dialysis for a year-and-ahalf until she finally was able to undergo the biggest surgery of her entire life, a kidney transplant. The donor kidney would come from none other than her mom. On September 13 2013 Angelica as well as her mother underwent the successful transplantation of their kidney at two amazing hospitals located close to one another- the University Hospital of Memory and Children's Hospital of Atlanta Egleston. Angelica Hale pursued her dream to become a famous person from the beginning.
